Edge Elephant Calf Sculpture

A delightful Elephant Calf sculpture fron the EDGE collection by Matt Buckley. Native to Africa and parts of Asia, elephants are revered for their strength, power, stamina, longevity, loyalty and intelligence – attributes that have cemented their place in modern cultures all around the world. Matt Buckley’s charming sculpture is reminiscent of everyone’s favourite baby elephant, Dumbo.

Each sculpt has been originally sculpted from clay, giving the pieces an organic and dynamic feel. The finished clay sculpt is then taken to be moulded and each subsequent piece will be carefully hand cast using marble resin and the finishing touch is the skilful application of hand-painting and finishing which brings the sculpt to life.
